MUMBAI, India, Aug. 1 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411006204 A) filed by Chandigarh Group Of Colleges, Mohali, Punjab, on Jan. 30, 2024, for 'automated grinding wheel manufacturing device.'

Inventor(s) include Dr. Hardeep Singh; Dr. Narinder Kumar; Navneet Singh; and Lovepreet Singh.

The application for the patent was published on Aug. 1, under issue no. 31/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An automated grinding wheel manufacturing device, comprising a housing 1 attached with a chamber 2 stored with green silicon carbide powder, a first expandable pulley arrangement 3 expands disc 4, a motorized iris lid 5 dispenses powder on disc 4, an L-shaped rod 6 extends and positions an extendable flap 7 over disc 4, a motor rotates disc 4 for evenly spreading powder, a telescopically operated gripper 8 unwrapping net sheet from a spool 9 which is cut by a motorized blade 10 and placed on a rectangular base, a robotic arm 11 cuts net sheet in circular shape by cutter 12 and which is placed on disc 4, a telescopically operated bar 15 positions circular plate 14 over disc 4 for compressing powder, a heating unit melts powder, a Peltier unit cools down grinding wheel, and a speaker 17 notifies user to collect wheel."
