MUMBAI, India, Nov. 28 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202531024852 A) filed by Siksha O Anusandhan, Bhubaneswar, Orissa, on March 19, for 'automated grass carpet extraction device.'
Inventor(s) include Dr. Biswaranjan Swain.
The application for the patent was published on Nov. 28, under issue no. 48/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An automated grass carpet extraction device developed to efficiently extract a grass carpet from a lawn comprises of a platform 101 mounted on motorized omni-directional wheels 102 for movement across the grass surface, an artificial intelligence-based imaging unit 103 to capture and process 3D images of the lawn, a touch interactive display panel 104 to allow users to select areas for carpet extraction, a motorized sliding unit 105 with rollers 106, to cut and extracts the carpet as the platform 101 moves, an ultrasonic sensor to monitor carpet thickness, additionally, an extendable L-shaped bars 108 to extend and get positioned in proximity, a robotic grippers 109 to grip lateral sides of the cut carpet and rotate on axis."
