MUMBAI, India, Sept. 26 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411020663 A) filed by Shobhit Institute Of Engineering & Technology, Meerut, Uttar Pradesh, on March 19, 2024, for 'automated grain packaging device.'
Inventor(s) include Neha Vashistha; Ashok Gupta; Nidhi Tyagi; and Mamta Bansal.
The application for the patent was published on Sept. 26, under issue no. 39/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An automated grain packaging device, comprising a platform 1 attached with wheels 3 for maneuvering platform 1, an AI based imaging unit 4 determines presence of grain pile nearby frame 6, a touch interactive display panel 5 for entering quantity of grains to be packaged, an extendable frame 6 installed on platform 1 via a column 10 for extending towards pile to position a bucket 9 near to pile for filling grains inside bucket 9, a pair of hydraulic pistons 11 for extending to lift first portion, a motorized pivot joint enables movement of frame 6 for transferring grains towards a second portion 8 via a channel 12 for filling of gains inside a carry bag, a proximity sensor for detecting insertion of carry bag, a pair of robotic arms 14 assembled within storage unit 13 for opening mouth of carry bag for filling of grains inside bag."
