MUMBAI, India, Nov. 28 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411026137 A) filed by Chandigarh Group Of Colleges, Mohali, Punjab, on March 29, 2024, for 'automated grain collecting device.'
Inventor(s) include Diksha Verma; Priyanka Nehra; Aarti Dhiman; and Preeti Ban.
The application for the patent was published on Nov. 28, under issue no. 48/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An automated grain collecting device, comprising a platform 1 developed to be positioned on a ground surface, a display screen 2 arranged on platform 1 for user input, an imaging unit 3 installed on platform 1 to determine positioning of grains on surface, motorized wheels 4 arranged underneath platform 1 for moving platform 1 on surface, a panel 6 is arranged with rod 5 position on surface in proximity to spread grains, a motorized roller 7 arranged with panel 6 to provides rotational movement to multiple bristles to get mounted on panel 6, a groove integrated on panel 6 for accommodating mounted grains in groove, a vacuum pump 8 is integrated with conduit and arranged with grooves to extract and transfer the grains towards vertical support, a pair of clamping units 9 arranged on vertical support for engaging mouth portion of a sac 10 for storing grains."
