MUMBAI, India, April 20 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411073974 A) filed by Chandigarh Group Of Colleges, Mohali, Punjab, on Sept. 30, 2024, for 'automated gooseberry pickle making device.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An automated gooseberry pickle making device, comprising a housing 1 installed with a chamber 2 stored with gooseberries, a touch interactive display panel 3 enables a user to give input commands regarding amount of gooseberry pickle user desires to make, a first motorized iris lid 4 for dispensing determined amount of gooseberry in a cylindrical hollow member 5, an electronically controlled nozzle 6 for dispensing water over accommodated gooseberry, a second motorized iris lid 7 for dispensing gooseberry into a conveyor, an artificial intelligence-based imaging unit 9 detect rotten/ damaged gooseberry, a robotic gripper 10 installed position rotten/ damaged gooseberries into a waste receptacle 11, a motorized cutting unit for cutting gooseberries into multiple slices, a motorized pore for dispensing an appropriate amount of ingredients within container 12, and a motorized stirrer 14 for mixing gooseberry and ingredients thoroughly and preparing gooseberry pickle with ease."
