MUMBAI, India, Oct. 11 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411020082 A) filed by Shobhit Institute Of Engineering & Technology, Meerut, Uttar Pradesh, on March 18, 2024, for 'automated glass designing device.'

Inventor(s) include R. P. Agarwal; Naveen; R. K. Jain; and Dipika Sharma.

The application for the patent was published on Oct. 10, under issue no. 41/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An automated glass designing device, comprising of a housing 1 mapped with a touch interactive display panel 2 for selecting a user-desired designing pattern, a chamber 3 stored with multiple glass slab for varying dimensions, plurality of extendible pushers 4 for pushing out one of glass slab, a motorized conveyor belt 5 for translating slab towards a platform 6, a pair of clamping units 7 to stably hold slab over platform 6, an artificial intelligence-based imaging unit 8 to determine dimensions of slab, a holographic projector 9 to project a virtual images of evaluated angles, a laser cutting unit 10 is arranged by means of a motorized two-axis lead screw arrangement 11 for cutting slab from angles as well as engrave pattern over slab, and an air blower 12 for blowing air towards slab during cutting and engraving for removing produced dust from slab."
