MUMBAI, India, Sept. 12 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411013453 A) filed by Chandigarh University; and Chandigarh University Technology Business Incubator, Mohali, Punjab, on Feb. 24, 2024, for 'automated gardening device.'

Inventor(s) include Ankita Sharma.

The application for the patent was published on Sept. 12, under issue no. 37/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An automated gardening device, comprising, a cuboidal body 1 configured with multiple rods 2 that provides support to the body 1, a motorized wheel 3 is attached with each of the rods 2 for providing movement to the body 1, an artificial intelligence based imaging unit 4 installed on the body 1 for evaluating a 3D mapping of the surroundings, a touch interactive display panel 5 mapped on the body 1 for enabling the insert to provide input, a L-shaped telescopic bar 6 arranged on the body 1 for positioning a plate 7 attached with the bar 6, a moisture sensor installed on the plate 7 for detecting moisture of the surface, an electronic nozzle 8 attached with a water reservoir 9, assembled on the body 1 for dispensing water on the surface, a robotic link 10 for digging soil from the surface via a curve shaped member 11."
