MUMBAI, India, Oct. 11 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411019773 A) filed by Shobhit Institute Of Engineering & Technology, Meerut, Uttar Pradesh, on March 17, 2024, for 'automated garden maintenance device.'
Inventor(s) include Alpana Joshi; Sahdev Singh; Vikas; and Manisha Rastogi.
The application for the patent was published on Oct. 10, under issue no. 41/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An automated garden maintenance device comprising a frame 1 developed to be installed on rear portion of agriculture-based vehicle by means of a hitch, a button 2 is integrated within by means of multiple wires to actuate/de-actuate device, an imaging unit 3 to determine level of a ground surface on which vehicle is moving, a pair of plates 4 arranged underneath frame 1 and connected with each other by means of a motorized hinge joint 5 to provide converging and diverging movement to plates 4 in order to perform gardening of surface, a tactile sensor for monitoring hardness of surface, an electronically controlled nozzle 6 integrated on a water reservoir 7 to sprinkle water on surface in order to soften surface for gardening, multiple extendable pins 8 integrated on plates 4 to extend/retract in order to breakdown any clumps of soil present on surface."
