MUMBAI, India, Sept. 26 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411017934 A) filed by Teerthanker Mahaveer University, Moradabad, Uttar Pradesh, on March 12, 2024, for 'automated front wheel crown and pinion installation device for two-wheeler.'

The application for the patent was published on Sept. 26, under issue no. 39/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An automated front wheel crown and pinion installation device for two-wheeler, comprises of a platform 1 provides support to platform 1 on a ground surface, a slot 4 crafted on platform 1 for enabling a user to place a drum brake of a two wheeler for actuating a pair of telescopically operated clamps 6 to secure drum brake on slot 4, an artificial intelligence-based imaging unit 5 capturing images of drum brake for actuating a pair of robotic grippers 14 for dismantling drum brake by removing various components, a chamber 7 storing a cleaning solution, an electronic nozzle 8 for dispensing solution in order to clean any dirt/dust accumulated inside drum brake and an optical sensor detecting cleaning of accumulated dirt/dust for actuating a pair of robotic grippers 14 for withdrawing a fresh crown and pinion gear and engaging withdrawn crown and pinion gear within drum brake."
