MUMBAI, India, Aug. 29 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202441013504 A) filed by JAIN, Bangalore, Karnataka, on Feb. 24, 2024, for 'automated freewheel pulley maintenance device.'

Inventor(s) include Hari Krishna Moorthy.

The application for the patent was published on Aug. 29, under issue no. 35/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An automated freewheel pulley maintenance device, comprising a platform 1 accessed by a user for placing freewheel pulley that is required to maintained, a weight sensor detecting placement of freewheel pulley on platform 1 for actuating multiple telescopically operated clamps 4 to extend to clamp 4 pulley on platform 1, an artificial intelligence-based imaging unit 5 determines diameter of wheel integrated on pulley along with condition of wheel and accordingly actuates L-shaped telescopic bar 6 to extend for positioning three jaw clamp 7 that aids in restricting movement of wheel, a motorized wrench 8 actuated by microcontroller for unfastening wheel, followed by actuation of motorized brush 11 for cleaning dust/dirt and upon determining unrepairable condition, microcontroller actuates first robotic gripper 13 for withdrawing one of new pulley and install withdrawn pulley over pulley shaft."
