According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An automated footwear maintenance assistive device, comprising a body 1 developed to be installed on a surface, a panel 2 for providing input, an imaging unit 3 for detecting dimensions and kind of footwear to evaluate an appropriate cost for maintenance of footwear, a QR (quick response) code for receiving payment for footwear's maintenance, a chamber 4 assembled with a pair of sliding units 5 that translates chamber 4 towards outside of body 1, a robotic arm 6 for positioning footwear within chamber 4, a pair of rotatable brushes 7 for scrubbing off dust from footwear, a cleaning solution stored in a multi-sectioned chamber 8 dispensed via a nozzle 9 to remove stain off footwear, a tactile sensor for determining material of footwear and an odor sensor for detecting unpleasant odor."
