MUMBAI, India, Nov. 28 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202531011174 A) filed by Siksha O Anusandhan, Bhubaneswar, Orissa, on Feb. 10, for 'automated footwear drying device.'

Inventor(s) include Dr. Sidhartha Dash.

The application for the patent was published on Nov. 28, under issue no. 48/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An automated footwear drying device, comprises of a platform 101 configured with a pair of hollow cylindrical members 102 developed to be positioned on a fixed surface, multiple supporting legs 103 installed underneath platform 101 for providing stability to platform 101, an artificial intelligence-based imaging unit 104 configured on platform 101 to detect dimensions and size of footwear, plurality of motorized hinges 105 integrated within member for modulating shape of the member, plurality of electronically controlled nozzles 106 integrated inside each of members 102 to dispense a regulated amount of steam generated from a water reservoir arranged on platform 101, plurality of Peltier units configured on each of members 102 for facilitating quick drying of footwear, a heating coil integrated in water reservoir to generate steam while is supplied to nozzles 106 via multiple conduits."
