MUMBAI, India, Sept. 12 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411013322 A) filed by Chandigarh University; and Chandigarh University Technology Business Incubator, Mohali, Punjab, on Feb. 23, 2024, for 'automated food serving device.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An automated food serving device, comprises of an elongated body 1 assembled with a handle 2 developed to be gripped by a user, a bowl shaped structure 3 to collect a withdrawn food item from an auxiliary container via structure 3, a user-interface for enabling user to input details, a pair of sliders 4 for providing movement to a plate 5 in a manner to create a cavity for accommodating user-desired amount of food item, a motorized hinge joint 6 for providing an angular movement to structure 3 in view of collecting user-desired amount of food item within structure 3, an imaging unit 7 for determining positioning of structure 3 with respect to user, a meshed sheet 8 arranged with a robotic link 9 that positions sheet 8 within food-items for separating the liquid materials from food-items for enabling user to consume liquid materials as per their requirement."
