MUMBAI, India, Aug. 8 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411004063 A) filed by Chandigarh University; and Chandigarh University Technology Business Incubator, Mohali, Punjab, on Jan. 19, 2024, for 'automated flute manufacturing device.'

Inventor(s) include Ashutosh Tripathi.

The application for the patent was published on Aug. 8, under issue no. 32/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An automated flute manufacturing device, comprising a housing 1 installed with a chamber stored, a touch enabled screen 3 is configured on housing 1 to input commands for manufacturing flute, a telescopically operated gripper 4 configured within housing 1 for positioning bamboo sticks on platform 5 arranged within housing 1, a robotic arm configured within housing 1 and equipped with a motorized cutter for cutting bamboo stick, a pair of telescopically operated links 12 for gripping bamboo stick between members 11, a rectangular base 16 assembled within housing 1, a set of L-shaped pneumatic pins 17 configured on base 16 for gripping bamboo, a hydraulic plunger 18 suspended from ceiling portion to extend for punching a set of holes in bamboo stick via a punching unit 19 and a vessel 10 positioned within housing 1 and adhering lip plate on top portion of flute."
