MUMBAI, India, Aug. 8 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202441007333 A) filed by Jain, Bangalore, Karnataka, on Feb. 2, 2024, for 'automated fishing assistive device.'

The application for the patent was published on Aug. 8, under issue no. 32/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An automated fishing assistive device, comprising a frame 1 integrated with a rod fixed at shore of water body, a tactile sensor detects hardness of ground surface and based on which both extendable threaded pins 2 extends for getting inserted within surface, a curved plate 6 is arranged on frame 1 on which an auxiliary fishing rod is placed which is detected by an AI-based imaging unit 3, a L-shape bar 7 arranged underneath plate 6 engaged into a slot 8 and an extendable protrusion 9 gets locked onto a cavity fabricated on slot 8 resulting in perpendicular orientation of plate 6, a hook 10 engaged with string continued from a pulley of rod and dipped in water body, a motion detection sensor for detecting any movement of engaged string and if detected then protrusion 9 get retracted for disengaging protrusion 9 from cavity for uplifting of rod."
