MUMBAI, India, Sept. 26 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411019393 A) filed by Teerthanker Mahaveer University, Moradabad, Uttar Pradesh, on March 15, 2024, for 'automated fish feeding device.'

Inventor(s) include Pankaj Kumar Goswami.

The application for the patent was published on Sept. 26, under issue no. 39/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An automated fish feeding device, comprises a platform 1 configured with multiple rods 2 that provides support to the platform 1 on a ground surface, an artificial intelligence based imaging unit 4 to determine presence of any aquarium in vicinity to the platform 1, an ultrasonic sensor for detecting height of the aquarium's opening portion, an inverted L-shaped telescopic frame 5 assembled on the platform 1 for extending to position a cylindrical shaped member 8 above the opening portion, touch interactive display panel 6 to input details regarding a pattern of feeding to fishes present inside the aquarium, motorized iris lid 9 for opening and dispensing the food inside the member 8, a motorized spiral shaped conveyor 10 for rotating on its axis to translate the food towards the aquarium, and pH sensor for detecting pH value of water filled inside the aquarium."
