MUMBAI, India, April 17 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202621013355 A) filed by Gokul Global University, Patan, Gujarat, on Feb. 6, for 'automated fire protection device.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An automated fire protection device comprises of a platform 101 for placing over the surface, a plurality of motorized wheels 102 for enabling mobility and stable positioning to the platform 101, an inspection module having imaging unit 103 and ultrasonic sensor for detecting the user's height, a protection module having a pair of L-shaped telescopic rods 104 and an extendable plate 105 for safeguarding the user, a pair of semi-circular rings 106 for securing various sizes of fire extinguishers, an infrared flame detector for tracking flame movement, a motorized valve 108 coupled to fire-extinguishing liquid source 110 through a flexible conduit 109 for controlling the discharge of the liquid, a plurality of LED indicators for indicating the operating states, an oxygen supply unit having oxygen cylinder 111, delivery pipe 112 and a mask 113 for detecting smoke and oxygen deficiency, a motorized fan 114 for expelling smoke away from user."
