MUMBAI, India, Aug. 8 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202441007491 A) filed by Jain, Bangalore, Karnataka, on Feb. 3, 2024, for 'automated fender installation device for four-wheeler vehicle.'

The application for the patent was published on Aug. 8, under issue no. 32/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An automated fender installation device for four-wheeler vehicle, comprising a housing 1 installed with a touch enabled screen 3 for enabling user to input model number of vehicle and accordingly shape and dimensions of fender is fetched, a telescopically operated gripper 4 grips a metal sheet from a chamber 5 and positions on a platform, a laser-based cutting unit 6 configured at a ceiling housing 1 via a two-axis lead screw arrangement 7 for cutting sheet in fender shape, a camera 8 detects exact location on vehicle, a first robotic arm 9 installed in housing 1 grips and positions fender at exact location, a second robotic arm 10 installed in housing 1 and equipped with a welding unit 11 for welding fender, and a third robotic arm 12 installed in housing 1 and equipped with a motorized grinder 13 for grinding of fender to eliminate unevenness from fender."
