MUMBAI, India, July 25 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411004728 A) filed by Chandigarh University; and Chandigarh University Technology Business Incubator, Mohali, Punjab, on Jan. 23, 2024, for 'automated fence post installation device.'

The application for the patent was published on July 25, under issue no. 30/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An automated fence post installation device includes a body 1 configured with multiple rods 2 for support, an imaging unit 4 to evaluate a 3-Dimensional mapping of surroundings, a display panel 5 to input details regarding a portion of surface on which user desires to install a fence post, wheels 3 attached with each of rods 2 for positioning body 1 on user-specified portion followed by actuation of a first link 6 configured with a bucket 7 for excavating multiple holes on surface, a chamber 8 for storing an expanding foam and multiple fence posts, an nozzle 9 attached with chamber 8 for dispensing foam inside holes, a gripper 10 for withdrawing and placing posts inside holes, foam expands and solidifies to secure posts inside holes, a tactile sensor installed on gripper 10 for detecting foam's hardness, a second link 11 configured with a cutter 12, for cutting solidified foam."
