MUMBAI, India, Nov. 21 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202521105055 A) filed by Marwadi University, Rajkot, Gujarat, on Oct. 30, for 'automated farming system for sustainable crop care and farmer well-being.'

Inventor(s) include Ayush Gour; Deep Dave; and Sanket Badiyani.

The application for the patent was published on Nov. 21, under issue no. 47/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An automated farming system for sustainable crop care and farmer well-being comprising a frame 101 installed centrally over an agricultural area using at least four securing means for stable attachment, a monitoring unit integrated with an artificial intelligence-based imaging unit 106 and environmental sensors to monitor temperature, humidity, wind speed, and air pressure to detect fog, a water collection module that deploys upon fog detection to collect water droplets, a water transferring assembly moves collected water to an elevated storage tank 111, an energy harvesting module linked to tank 111 harnesses energy from collected water, an irrigation module uses this stored water to irrigate crops, a facial recognition module monitors farmer stress and activates an electronic nozzle 114 to cool farmer, a solar panel 115 charges battery, and a monitoring module manages energy allocation to provide personalized farmer feedback."
