MUMBAI, India, Sept. 5 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202441012513 A) filed by JAIN, Bangalore, Karnataka, on Feb. 21, 2024, for 'automated farm produce sorting device.'

Inventor(s) include Dr. Trupti N.

The application for the patent was published on Sept. 5, under issue no. 36/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An automated farm produce sorting device, comprises of a U-shaped frame 1 positioned on a ground surface and installed with a first and second vertical platforms 2, 3 connected with each other via rollers 4 for sorting farm produce, a chamber 5 stored with farm produce, a touch enabled screen 6 accessed by a user to input commands for sorting the produce, a cuboidal block 7 installed with a pair of gears 9 attached with rollers 4, via a rotating arrangement for passing produce underneath rollers 4, a camera 13 for detecting spoiled produce, multiple suction cups 10 for discarding the spoiled farm produce in a set of containers installed at side portion of the frame 1."
