MUMBAI, India, Sept. 12 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411013466 A) filed by Chandigarh University; and Chandigarh University Technology Business Incubator, Mohali, Punjab, on Feb. 24, 2024, for 'automated farm fire spreading prevention device.'
Inventor(s) include Digvijay Puri.
The application for the patent was published on Sept. 12, under issue no. 37/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An automated farm fire spreading prevention device, comprises of a cuboidal body 1 configured with multiple rods 2 that provides support to the body 1 on an agricultural land, a motorized wheel 3 attached with each of the rods 2 for providing movement to the body 1 on the surface, a sensing module installed on the body 1 for detecting presence of fire on crops present on the land along with intensity of wind blowing in vicinity to the land, a motion sensor installed on the body 1 for detecting movement body 1, a motorized disc 4 suspended underneath the body 1 for rotating on its axis to cut the crops via multiple blades 5 attached on periphery of the disc 4, and electronic nozzles 10 ranging from 3 to 5 in numbers for dispensing water on the excavated portion of the land to prevent spreading of the fire."
