MUMBAI, India, Aug. 1 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411006611 A) filed by Chandigarh Group Of Colleges, Mohali, Punjab, on Jan. 31, 2024, for 'automated false ceiling installation device.'

Inventor(s) include Dr. Amanpreet Kaur; Dr. Sukhpreet Kaur; and Dr. Sachin Mohal.

The application for the patent was published on Aug. 1, under issue no. 31/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An automated false ceiling installation device, comprising a platform 1 positioned on a ground surface of an enclosure, multiple omnidirectional wheels 2 maneuvering platform 1 over surface, an artificial intelligence-based imaging unit 3 generate a 3D (Three-Dimensional) map of celling portion that is displayed over display panel 4 for allowing user to designate an area over ceiling portion, a primary and secondary electronic nozzles 7, 8 dispensing an appropriate amount of POP solution and water within a mixing container 9, followed by actuation of nozzle for dispensing an appropriate amount of POP solution, a designing arrangement 11 having multiple rings accommodating ceiling paste within rings, a telescopically operated bar 12 actuated by microcontroller to extend for transferring arrangement 11 to ceiling for forming false ceiling."
