MUMBAI, India, Sept. 12 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411014291 A) filed by Chandigarh Group Of Colleges, Mohali, Punjab, on Feb. 27, 2024, for 'automated eyebrow shaping device.'
Inventor(s) include Dr. Pallavi Pahuja; Ruby Sharma; and Sian.
The application for the patent was published on Sept. 12, under issue no. 37/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An automated eyebrow shaping device comprises of a first 1 and second elongated body 2 cross-linked with each other by means of motorized pivot joint 3 to provide movement to the first 1 and second body 2 towards and away from each other. U-shaped member 4 is accesses by user to position bodies over fixed surface, inverted L-shaped telescopic rod 5 to position the bodies parallel to the user's face and accommodate eyebrow hairs of the user between the bodies, artificial intelligence based imaging unit 7 for capturing images of user present in proximity, laser measurement sensor to determine density of the eyebrow hairs, primary motorized sliding unit 8 to provide translation to plurality of pneumatic bristles 9 in order to accommodate eyebrow hairs, first and second robotic arms 10 stretches user's skin around eyebrow, motorized blade 12 for trimming eyebrow hairs in appropriate manner."
