MUMBAI, India, June 27 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202341087320 A) filed by Jain, Bangalore, Karnataka, on Dec. 20, 2023, for 'automated eye drop dispensing device.'

The application for the patent was published on June 27, under issue no. 26/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An automated eye drop dispensing device comprising an extendable body 1 associated with device, a strap to be loop around a user's head portion for securing body 1 over user's head portion, a camera 3 in synchronization with a laser sensor to detect size of user's head portion, a chamber 4 fabricated stored with a different eye drop, a thermocooler unit 5 to maintain temperature of eye drops, a motorized griper attached with a telescopically operated link 7 to extend as means of positioning gripper 6 in proximity of a particular eye drop as per command provided by user, a container configured with a motorized pulley expansion arrangement to expend/contract container for accommodating particular eye drop via gripper 6 that is to be dispensed in user's eyes, a motorized slider 8 to slide container for positioning container over user's eye and multiple pins extend for securing eye drop within container."
