MUMBAI, India, Aug. 8 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202441007854 A) filed by Jain, Bangalore, Karnataka, on Feb. 5, 2024, for 'automated electric wire installation device.'

Inventor(s) include C. Vairavel.

The application for the patent was published on Aug. 8, under issue no. 32/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An automated electric wire installation device includes, a body 1 positioned in proximity to an electric pole and configured with a lid 2 accessed by a user for engaging an electric wire to be installed, an imaging unit 3 to determine positioning of pole and accordingly actuates multiple wheels 4 integrated with multiple suction units 5 for moving body 1 through pole to position the lid 2 on a cross arm of the pole resulting in dragging of the wire through the pole, a pair of rollers 6 integrated in continuation with lid 2 rotates in opposite direction for passing wire in a forward direction gripped by a robotic arm 7 for twisting wire over an insulator arranged over cross arm in order to pass the wire through the cross arm, followed by downward movement of the body 1 along the pole for passing the wire across the pole."
