MUMBAI, India, Oct. 11 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411019718 A) filed by Sanskriti University, Mathura, Uttar Pradesh, on March 17, 2024, for 'automated egg yolk extraction device.'

Inventor(s) include Dr. Dinesh Kumar; and Dr. Anil Kumar Singh.

The application for the patent was published on Oct. 10, under issue no. 41/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A automated egg yolk extraction device includes a platform 1 attached with a chamber 2 stored with eggs, a screen 3 to input number of eggs to be broken for extracting egg yolks accordingly a microcontroller activates a camera 4 for detecting location of eggs, a gripper 6 grips and holds user-defined number of eggs successively in a member 7, a pin 9 pierces eggs successively to break eggs, the member 7 retracts for opening of eggs to allow contents of egg to transfer over plates 13, egg yolk slides over plates 13 and collects in a container 15 positioned in continuation to plates 13, albumin passes through gap between plates 13 and collects in a tray 16 positioned underneath plates 13, an Infrared counter 17 positioned within container 15 for counting number of egg yolks collected, upon matching user-defined number, a speaker 18 notifies user."
