MUMBAI, India, July 5 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202311088375 A) filed by Sanskriti University, Mathura, Uttar Pradesh, on Dec. 22, 2023, for 'automated egg boiling device.'

The application for the patent was published on July 4, under issue no. 27/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An automated egg boiling device, comprising a housing 1 developed to be positioned on a stable surface, herein housing 1 is mapped with a touch interactive display panel 2 for providing input regarding a user-desired number of boiled eggs, a chamber 3 stored with multiple eggs arranged within housing 1 which is accessed by a robotic arm 4 for positioning eggs into a vessel 5 positioned within housing 1, an imaging unit 7 installed within housing 1 for capturing multiple surrounding images, a curved elongated plate 8 to translate egg along plate 8 and inserted within a column 9 arranged in continuation with plate 8, a motorized roller 10 to rotate on its axis which leads to pressing of a spiral blade 11 wrapped over roller 10 resulting in cracking of egg's shell and a receptacle 13 positioned underneath roller 10 for accommodating peeled off shells."
