MUMBAI, India, Oct. 24 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411026631 A) filed by Shobhit Institute Of Engineering & Technology, Meerut, Uttar Pradesh, on March 30, 2024, for 'automated drilling guiding device.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An automated drilling guiding device, comprising a platform 1 developed to be positioned on a fixed surface, touch interactive display panel 2 that is accessed by a user for providing input regarding dimension coordinates on the surface where drilling is to be performed, artificial intelligence-based imaging unit 3 for capturing multiple images in vicinity of the platform 1, respectively to determine dimensions of the surface, motorized sliding units to translate curve ended plates 4 along the sliding units for altering dimensions of a cavity formed due to over lapping of the plates 4 at center portion of the platform 1, plurality of motorized wheels 5 to rotate for preventing contact of the drill bit with the plates, a container 6 is installed on platform 1 by means of a L-shaped pole 7 and electronically controlled nozzle 8 to dispense a coolant while drilling is being performed."
