MUMBAI, India, Sept. 5 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202441012512 A) filed by JAIN, Bangalore, Karnataka, on Feb. 21, 2024, for 'automated drilling assistive device.'
Inventor(s) include Manu Se.
The application for the patent was published on Sept. 5, under issue no. 36/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An automated drilling assistive device, comprises of a frame 1 having a pair of slidable plates 2 developed to be positioned on a fixed surface, an artificial intelligence-based imaging unit 3 installed on the frame 1 to generate a 3-dimensional mapping of the surface, a touch interactive display panel 4 arranged on the frame 1 that is accessed by a user for selecting a point on the surface where drilling is to be performed, a cavity 5 fabricated at the overlapping ends of the plates 2 through which the drill bit passes for drilling the user-specified point, and plurality of motorized rollers 6 arranged on the plates 2 for rotating the drilling unit in a pre-defined direction."
