MUMBAI, India, Oct. 11 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411020101 A) filed by Chandigarh University; and Chandigarh University Technology Business Incubator, Mohali, Punjab, on March 18, 2024, for 'automated drawer cladding installation device.'
Inventor(s) include Abhijit Kumar Gupta.
The application for the patent was published on Oct. 10, under issue no. 41/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An automated drawer cladding installation device, comprising of a housing 1, plurality of motorized omnidirectional wheels 2 for positioning of the housing 1, a telescopic rod 3 extend and retract positioning of wheel 2, an artificial intelligence based imaging unit 5 for capturing multiple images of cabinet, a multi-sectioned chamber 6 for storing plurality of claddings and screws, a primary robotic gripper 7 to access the chamber 6, a motorized two-axis lead screw arrangement 10 configured with plurality of suction unit to grasp the positioned cladding, a container 12 for storing an adhesive solution, an electronic nozzle 13 to spray the adhesive solution, a first robotic arm 14 to positioning cladding in front portion of drawer, a secondary robotic gripper 8 to withdraw one of screw from the chamber 6, motorized screw driver 16 close the screws in view of affixing the cladding with the front portion of the drawer."
