MUMBAI, India, Nov. 28 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202531020401 A) filed by Siksha O Anusandhan, Bhubaneswar, Orissa, on March 6, for 'automated drain net cleaning device.'

The application for the patent was published on Nov. 28, under issue no. 48/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An automated drain net cleaning device, comprising a cuboidal body 101 positioned on ground surface, multiple motorized wheels 102 for providing movement to body 101 on surface, an artificial intelligence based imaging unit 103 determines presence of drain net in proximity to body 101, a motorized hinge joint 104 for providing movement to an inverted L-shaped telescopic bar 105 to position a motorized clamping unit 106 over net for gripping and disposing debris and hair over a chamber, a motorized disc 107 equipped with plurality of bristles 109 for maneuvering disc 107 on entire net, an IR (Infrared) sensor for detecting presence of clogs over net, an electronic nozzle 110 connected with a vessel 111 to dispense pressurized water over net, an inverted L-shaped telescopic link 112 for positioning an extendable curved-shaped member 113 over circumference of drain net."
