MUMBAI, India, Oct. 31 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411023585 A) filed by Sanskriti University, Mathura, Uttar Pradesh, on March 25, 2024, for 'automated door striker plate maintenance device for vehicles.'
Inventor(s) include Kanchan Kholiya; and Dr. Gopal Arora.
The application for the patent was published on Oct. 31, under issue no. 44/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An automated door striker plate maintenance device for vehicles, comprising a platform 1 positioned on ground surface and installed with an imaging unit 2 to determine location of a vehicle, plurality of wheels 3 arranged underneath the platform 1 to move platform 1, two robotic arms 4 installed on platform 1 to hold a door of vehicle open, a gripper 5 arranged on platform 1 to grip a tool stored in a chamber 6 for unfastening the plate from vehicle, an L-shaped bar 7 installed on platform 1 for positioning a cleaning brush 8 in proximity to plate removed portion to clean, a welding torch arranged on platform 1 for welding detected crack, a grinding blade 11 integrated on bar 7 to smoothen plate's surface, two electronically controlled valves 10 integrated on the brush 8 to dispense a lubricant on the portion of vehicle."
