MUMBAI, India, Aug. 1 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411005474 A) filed by Chandigarh Group Of Colleges, Mohali, Punjab, on Jan. 27, 2024, for 'automated device for installing cloud ceiling decorator.'

Inventor(s) include Meenakshi Garg; Rini Saxena; and Sahil Verma.

The application for the patent was published on Aug. 1, under issue no. 31/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An automated device for installing cloud ceiling decorator, encompasses a platform 1 with multiple wheels 2 for maneuvering platform 1 within an enclosure, an imaging unit 4 on platform 1 creates a 3D ceiling map that is displayed on a touch panel 5 over which users specify the installation area, prompting the microcontroller to position the platform 1 accordingly, the platform 1 houses first, second and third chambers 6, 7, 8 to store lighting strips, glue, and foam, a motorized roller 9 stores and dispenses lighting strip, a robotic arm 10 places strip on ceiling, which is secured by a clamping arrangement 11, a glue gun 12, linked via a flexible pipe 13, dispenses glue around the affixed lighting strip and the robotic arm 10 then positions foam from third chamber 8 onto the glue, forming a cloud ceiling decor per the user's request."
