MUMBAI, India, Oct. 24 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411022847 A) filed by Teerthanker Mahaveer University, Moradabad, Uttar Pradesh, on March 23, 2024, for 'automated cylindrical duct manufacturing device.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An automated cylindrical duct manufacturing device, comprising a housing 1 positioned on a fixed surface, a display panel arranged on body to receive input commands, a pair of robotic arms 3 installed inside housing 1 to grip a metallic sheet stored in a chamber 2 to accommodate in a platform 4 arranged inside housing 1, an imaging unit installed inside housing 1 to determine dimensions of sheet, a cutting blade 6 integrated on a gripper 5 for cutting the sheet, two rollers 7 installed inside housing 1 for molding cut sheet into cylindrical shape, an extendable pusher 8 integrated on rollers 7 for pushing the molded sheet on a horizontal bar 10 arranged inside the housing 1, a welding torch 13 integrated on a clipper 12 to weld ends of the sheet to form cylindrical duct."
