MUMBAI, India, Oct. 11 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411019653 A) filed by Sanskriti University, Mathura, Uttar Pradesh, on March 16, 2024, for 'automated cutter maintenance device.'

Inventor(s) include Dr. Sanjay Kumar.

The application for the patent was published on Oct. 10, under issue no. 41/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present invention relates to an automated cutter maintenance device, comprising a platform 1 positioned on a ground surface, a motorized chuck 2 arranged on platform 1 accessed by a user for engaging a blade to be maintained, an imaging unit 3 installed on platform 1 to monitor condition of blade teeth, an ultrasonic sensor 4 integrated on platform 1 for determining dimensions and angles of cuts on the teeth, a filing tool 5 arranged on platform 1 via a L-shaped rod 6 to extend/retract for positioning the tool 5 at appropriate angles on the teeth, a hinge joint integrated in between rod 6 and tool 5 to provide movement to tool 5 to smoothen cuts on the teeth, a robotic arm 8 assembled on platform 1 that withdraw chips stored in multi-section chamber 7 arranged on platform 1 for gripping a chip on smoothened end of the teeth."
