MUMBAI, India, Aug. 29 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411010751 A) filed by Teerthanker Mahaveer University, Moradabad, Uttar Pradesh, on Feb. 15, 2024, for 'automated cutlery management device.'
Inventor(s) include Rohit Kumar Singh Gautam.
The application for the patent was published on Aug. 29, under issue no. 35/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An automated cutlery management device, comprises of a rectangular body 1 configured with a suction cup 2 to adhere body 1 over a wall, a touch sensor to detect touch of body 1 via a user and then a motorized door 3 to open for allowing the user to store cutleries, a camera 7 to detect presence of slot on cutlery, a rotatable disc 4 to rotate and position one vacant hook in front of user to enable the user to hang the cutlery on hook, in case, slots 8 are not detected on cutlery, then the disc 4 rotates and positions slots 8 crafted with iris lid 9 in front of user to enable the user to insert cutlery in the slots 8, a moisture sensor to detect moisture in the cutlery and an air blower to blow air on cutlery for drying the cutlery."
