MUMBAI, India, Aug. 8 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202441007845 A) filed by Jain, Bangalore, Karnataka, on Feb. 5, 2024, for 'automated crop harvesting and bundling device.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An automated crop harvesting and bundling device, comprising a body 1 having a first and second portion installed with a touch interactive display panel 2 accessed by user for entering an area of field where harvesting is to be performed, an artificial intelligence-based imaging unit 3 installed on body 1 for detecting body 1 location on surface, a U-shaped frame 5 attached on first portion, in an inclined manner equipped with a pair of rotatable blade 10 for cutting crops on surface, a color sensor installed on first portion for detecting color of cut crops to determine probable ration of weeds mixed with cut crop, and a pair of semi-circular links 11 installed in continuation with lid 8 equipped with a motorized secondary roller 12 coiled with a thread for fastening cut crop to form bundle of cut crop."
