MUMBAI, India, Jan. 9 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202511113824 A) filed by Rayat Bahra University; Bahra University; and Rayat Bahra Professional University, Mohali, Punjab, on Nov. 19, 2025, for 'automated cracked walls maintenance device.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An automated cracked walls maintenance device, comprising a platform 101 positioned over ground surface, a touch interactive display panel 103 receives user input specifications regarding maintenance of a cracked wall, an imaging unit 104 detect presence of a wall surface, a laser sensor detect cracks occurred over wall surface and accordingly the motorized wheels 102 maneuver platform 101 towards cracks, a motorized roller 105 rotate and unwrap a polycarbonate sheet, a motorized cutting unit 106 cut the sheet, a pair of robotic arms 107 retrieve the sheet and apply over the cracked portions to seal the cracked portions of wall, an electronically operated nozzle 108 attached to a chamber 109 stored with polyurethane paint to dispense the paint over the sheet to form a continuous, adhesive and protective top layer that enhances bonding between the sheet and the wall."
