MUMBAI, India, Aug. 8 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202441007852 A) filed by Jain, Bangalore, Karnataka, on Feb. 5, 2024, for 'automated corncob peeling device.'

Inventor(s) include Manjunath Channappagoudra.

The application for the patent was published on Aug. 8, under issue no. 32/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An automated corncob peeling device characterizes a cuboidal body 1 with a chamber 2 for storing multiple corncobs, multiple rods 3 are present underneath the body 1 for supporting body 1 over a ground surface, a display panel 5 mounted on body 1 for user input a number of corncobs the user desired to peel, with a telescopic pusher 6 arranged within the body 1 to move corncobs out of the chamber 2, an imaging unit 7 assembled within body 1 determines movement and size of the corncobs, with telescopic bars 8 grasp the corncob with C-shaped members 9, while telescopic cutters 10 arranged within the body 1 remove the top and bottom tips of the corncobs and multiple telescopic tines 11 peel corn seeds for corncrib, which are further stored in a container 12 present at the base of the body 1."
