MUMBAI, India, Feb. 13 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202521133810 A) filed by Marwadi University, Rajkot, Gujarat, on Dec. 30, 2025, for 'automated contamination monitoring and mitigating system for hazardous areas.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An automated contamination monitoring and mitigating system for hazardous areas comprises of a multi-terrain platform 101 with motorized wheels 102 for stable navigation, inflatable buoyancy bags 104 for floatation, a motorized propulsion assembly 105 for aquatic movement, a navigation module for real-time path planning and obstacle avoidance, an articulated injector module 106 with a peristaltic pump and sterile sampling cartridge for environmental sample collection, a frame housing a sensor array 109, a spraying unit for disinfectants, a produce inspection unit with a dual jaw gripper 113 and V-shaped pin 115, a chalk powder module for marking hazardous zones, a sanitization unit with UV-C and antimicrobial sprayer 120, a logistics sliding compartment, solar panels for battery recharge, and a compact drone 124 with cameras and air-quality sensors for aerial inspection and real-time 3D contamination mapping."
