MUMBAI, India, Oct. 24 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411023048 A) filed by Sanskriti University, Mathura, Uttar Pradesh, on March 23, 2024, for 'automated container crushing device.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An automated container crushing device, comprising a cylindrical body 1 positioned on a fixed surface, an artificial intelligence-based imaging unit 2 determines presence of container near body 1, motorized lid 3 integrated gets opened for allowing user to accommodate container, a plate 4 is deployed by two motorized sliding units 5 for accommodating container inside body 1, an ultrasonic sensor is determines dimensions of container, a hydraulically operated plunger 6 extends for applying force on container via a plate 7 for crushing container, multiple holes crafted on plate 7 for allowing any fluid or material leaked from container to get dispensed from plate 7, a tray 8 accommodates dispensed fluid and further sliding units 5 translate plate 7 outside body 1 for allowing crushed container in a chamber."
