MUMBAI, India, Nov. 7 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411024940 A) filed by Chandigarh University; and Chandigarh University Technology Business Incubator, Mohali, Punjab, on March 27, 2024, for 'automated construction brick soaking device.'

Inventor(s) include Harbinder Singh.

The application for the patent was published on Nov. 7, under issue no. 45/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An automated construction brick soaking device, comprising a body 1 positioned on a fixed surface, a display panel 2 installed on the body 1 for user input, an imaging unit 3 to determine positioning of bricks, robotic arm 4 installed on the body 1 to grip and accommodate one of the brick on the body 1, an ultrasonic sensor integrated on the body 1 for monitoring dimensions of the accommodated brick, a hydraulic plunger 7 arranged on the body 1 via a L-shaped bar 5 to position a blade 6 over a particular position at the brick, blade 6 integrated on the plunger 7 to cut the brick, an electronically controlled nozzle is integrated inside the chamber 8 to dispense pressurized water in the chamber 8."
