MUMBAI, India, Aug. 1 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411003690 A) filed by Chandigarh University; and Chandigarh University Technology Business Incubator, Mohali, Punjab, on Jan. 18, 2024, for 'automated concrete wall refurbishing device.'

The application for the patent was published on Aug. 1, under issue no. 31/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An automated concrete wall refurbishing device, comprising a body 1 developed to be positioned on a ground surface, the body 1 is arranged with a touch interactive display panel 2 for selecting location of wall, an artificial intelligence-based imaging unit 3 installed on body 1 for capturing multiple images of vicinity of body 1 to determine location of wall, multiple motorized omnidirectional wheels 4 arranged underneath body 1 for moving body 1 towards wall, an ultrasonic sensor is integrated on body 1 for determining depth of detected crack, a telescopically operated L-shaped rod 6 to get extended/retracted for positioning a grinding blade 5 in proximity to crack, a multi-sectioned chamber 7 arranged on body 1 that is accessed by robotic arm 8 assembled on body 1 for gripping T-shaped tube stored within chamber 7 and an electronically controlled nozzle 9 to dispense evaluated amount of filler material along crack."
