MUMBAI, India, Sept. 26 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411019312 A) filed by Sanskriti University, Mathura, Uttar Pradesh, on March 15, 2024, for 'automated concrete surface cutting device.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present invention relates to an automated concrete surface cutting device, comprising a vertical frame 1 installed with an imaging unit 2 for capturing images in vicinity of the frame 1, a display panel 3 arranged on frame 1 for enabling user's input details, plurality of omnidirectional wheels 4 arranged underneath the frame 1 to move the frame 1 towards the surface, an ultrasonic sensor integrated on frame 1 for monitoring distance of area from the frame 1 along with determining points to be supported on surface, a pair of hydraulically operated arms 5 assembled on frame 1 for supporting the surface from the determined points, multiple suction units 8 integrated underneath the frame 1 for adhering frame 1 on the surface, a dual axis-lead screw 6 arranged on frame 1 for translating a grinding blade 7 integrated on lead screw 6 to perform cutting at area on the surface."
