MUMBAI, India, Oct. 31 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411024164 A) filed by Chandigarh Group Of Colleges, Mohali, Punjab, on March 26, 2024, for 'automated concrete column restoration device.'
Inventor(s) include Aijaz Ul Haq; Harkaranjit Singh; Kaushik Bharti; Sourabh Dhiman; and Vikasdeep Singh Mann.
The application for the patent was published on Oct. 31, under issue no. 44/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An automated concrete column restoration device, comprising, a housing 1 positioned over a ground surface in proximity to a concrete column, that is to be repaired, a touch interactive display panel 2 to provide input regrading restoration of the concrete column, an imaging unit 5 to detect damaged portion of the concrete column, a motorized brush 10 by means of a primary robotic link 9 to remove dust and debris accumulated over the damaged portion, a ground penetrating radar sensor monitor presence of metallic rods in the concrete column, a laser sensor to monitor dimension of the detected damaged portion, an electronic nozzle 8 to dispense the mortar mixture over the damaged portion of the concrete column and hinge joints 11 to regulate shaped of the plate 7 in accordance with the detected shape."
