MUMBAI, India, April 10 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202441076680 A) filed by JAIN, Bangalore, Karnataka, on Oct. 9, 2024, for 'automated concrete brick layering device.'

Inventor(s) include Dr. Anusudha Visvanathan.

The application for the patent was published on April 10, under issue no. 15/2026.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An automated concrete brick layering device, comprising a platform 1 positioned over a ground surface by means of plurality of motorized omni-directional wheels 2 that are arranged beneath the platform 1, an artificial intelligence based imaging unit 3 evaluates a 3-Dimensional mapping of the surface and displayed on a touch interactive display panel 4 to enable a user to select an area over which the bricks are to layered, a LiDAR sensor monitors surface level of the user-selected area, a hydraulic pusher 5 levels the user-selected area, a pair of robotic grippers 7 withdraw one of the brick from a chamber 6 and position over the user-selected area in a sequential manner to layer the bricks over the user-selected area."
