MUMBAI, India, Aug. 1 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411006602 A) filed by Chandigarh Group Of Colleges, Mohali, Punjab, on Jan. 31, 2024, for 'automated concrete block translocation device.'
Inventor(s) include Sachin Majithia; Gaurav Goel; Dr. Ishpreet Singh; Sayak Ghosh; and Dr. Sanjeev Kumar.
The application for the patent was published on Aug. 1, under issue no. 31/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An automated concrete block translocation device, comprising an elongated frame 1 positioned on ground surface, an AI-based imaging unit 2 installed on the frame 1 to determine location of a block, an ultrasonic sensor for monitoring dimensions of the block, a U-shaped unit 3 for extending as per determined dimensions, a ball and socket joint 4 for providing angular movement for positioning the U-shaped unit 3 over the block, a moisture sensor for monitoring moisture on ends of the block, a suction unit 5 for acquiring grip over sides of the block, an extendable L-shaped flap 6 for securing the block on the frame 1, a hydraulic actuator 7 for extending to uplift the frame 1 from the surface along with the block, a speaker for conveying user specified location of the block and multiple omnidirectional wheels 8 for moving the secured block on the user specified location."
