MUMBAI, India, Sept. 26 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411018896 A) filed by Sanskriti University, Mathura, Uttar Pradesh, on March 14, 2024, for 'automated concrete block cutting device.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An automated concrete block cutting, device includes an body 1 having a proximal and distal portion 2, 3, an imaging-unit 5 determines dimensions of concrete block accordingly microcontroller evaluates an alignment across which cutting is to be performed, a tactile sensor monitors hardness of concrete surface around block, multiple Peltier units 6 integrated within a water chamber 7 heats water to generate steam that is dispensed via multiple nozzles 8 arranged underneath chamber 7, two rollers 9 coiled with a string 10, actuates for coiling/uncoiling string 10 as per evaluated alignment, a actuator 13 arranged amid portion 3 and rollers 9 extends for applying a force over alignment via stretched string 10 for penetrating string 10 within surface along with links 12, an plate 14 horizontally arranged amid links 12 extends horizontally, a blade 15 integrated at edge of plate 14 applies force on nearby concrete to cut concrete horizontally."
