MUMBAI, India, Aug. 8 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411007020 A) filed by Chandigarh Group Of Colleges, Mohali, Punjab, on Feb. 2, 2024, for 'automated compressor air filter cleaning device.'

Inventor(s) include Dr. Deepika Sharma; Dr. Amresh Kumar; and Satwinder Singh.

The application for the patent was published on Aug. 8, under issue no. 32/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An automated compressor air filter cleaning device comprises of a cuboidal shaped housing 1 arranged with multiple rods 2 that provides support to housing 1 on a fixed surface, a motorized slider 6 for providing movement to a pair of inverted L-shaped clamp 7 in order to grip and secure filter on platform 5, a display panel 8 for enabling user to input details, a pneumatic piston 9 for positioning a primary nozzle 10 inside filter, a vibration unit for generating vibration on platform 5 that aids in vibrating filter, multiple secondary nozzles 13 for dispensing cleaning agents over filter in order to clean dust from outer surface, an imaging unit 14 for capturing images of filter, multiple air blowers 15 for drying filter by blowing air, a vacuum based cleaning unit 16 for cleaning waste water generated during cleaning of filter and a receptacle 17 for storing waste water."
